BUSY WEEK

Sun, Jun 4th, 2017 7:37:00 pm - Busy week with events, training and calls last week. On Tuesday, FF Weigle practiced using the man-in-the-machine kit carried on the rescue. Tuesday night, vehicle rescue training was conducted and finalized all the skills needed for his Rescue RASP book. Congratulations to Collin Weigle for receiving his rescue qualifications!
On Friday, crews went to Dauphin County Technical School for public safety day. While there, Box 33-1 was transmitted for a report of a working fire on Beacon Drive. Engine companies 34 and 33 arrived to find a washing machine on fire confined to the laundry room.
Last night crews were dispatched to a fire alarm on Rawleigh Street. Chief and Engine 33 were updated with an alarm that's been going off for an hour and no conditions. While En Route, Box 32-1 was transmitted for a kitchen fire. Given the updated information on the 33 alarm, Engine 33-1 was released while the chief handled the alarm. Engine 33-1 arrived on Shell Street with a small kitchen fire contained by the crew with a can. Command 32 held Company 32 and Engine 33.
