Mon, Jul 3rd, 2017 7:56:00 pm - This morning Company 33 along with mutual aid from Paxtonia 34 Fire Company and Linglestown Fire Company #1 - Station 35 responded to the Stonebridge Apartments off Colonial Road for a report of an apartment fire. Chief 35-2 was in the area and arrived confirming a first floor apartment fire. Engine 33 arrived laying a supply line to the Charlie side and stretching a hand line to the rear sliding door. Crews from 33 and 34 forced entry and extinguished a fire in the kitchen area. Two occupants were removed by fire service personnel in critical condition and transported by EMS to the hospital where one has succumbed to their injuries. Chief 33 had the command and struck the first alarm while crews cleared the remainder of the apartment building. This is the second fatal fire in three days for crews from Lower Paxton Township.
