Storm Rolls Through Lower Paxton |
| Sun, Jul 25th, 2010 2:50:00 pm -
A severe thunderstorm rolled through the area today creating another busy afternoon. Engine 33 responded to a fire alarm in Paxtonia while Dauphin County was updating the storm report to include a tornado warning with rotation in the storm over the Progress and Colonial Park area. As the Engine cleared the fire alarm, several OIC calls were answered by Captain 33 for wires down and electrical hazards. Finally, Lower Paxton PD requested Company 33's assistance in opening Ethel Street. It was closed with a large tree on it and no response from township crews. Rescue / Engine 33-1 responded and cut the tree up enough to allow traffic pass through. |
